How do I get to the show?
Stories From the Sea will take place at:
Mottistone Gardens, Mottistone, Newport, Isle of Wight PO30 4ED;
Located between Brighstone and Brook on B3399
Is there a place to park?
There is free parking at the National Trust Car Park adjacent to Mottistone Manor, 50 yards down the road.
Can I get there by bus?
Mottistone is on Southern Vectis Route 12 which runs from Newport to Alum Bay. More information can be found at www.islandbuses.info. Bus stops are located in front of the manor and at the vehicle entry point of the car park.
How can I get there by ferry?
Lymington to Yarmouth 5 miles (Wightlink, 0871 376 1000)
Southampton to West Cowes 13 miles (Redjet, 0844 844 9988)
Southampton to East Cowes 16 miles (Redfunnel, 0844 844 9988)

What do I need to know for my arrival on-site?
It is crucial that you are not late for your scheduled ticketing time. On your arrival, one our our team or volunteers will take your temperature. If anyone in your bubble has a temperature above 37.5ºC, we will have to reschedule your visit. Audience members ages 11+ will be required to wear a mask unless medically exempt.
Please arrive promptly at Mottistone Gardens. Latecomers will not be admitted.
How long will the show last?
The total run time is approximately 1hr from your arrival.
Can I arrive early / stay in the garden after the show has ended?
If you arrive early we would prefer for you to NOT wander round the gardens as we wouldn’t want you to see the sets before we are ready, after the show ends there will be a moment to stay in the gardens, we ask that all guests leave by 19.30. Please adhere to social distancing rules.

This original piece is a work in progress.
Bubbles will be grouped together but always socially distanced. A guide will be with your group and will take you through the gardens encountering performers along the way. Performers will be maintaining social-distancing, and one of our team will explain the rules of engagement before you begin your journey. Please always follow the directions of our guides, volunteers or performers.
Will there be seating?
Don’t forget, this is not a seated experience and you will be guided through the entire garden. If you or someone in your bubble has mobility issues, please see details regarding accessibility under ‘Accessibility’.
How do I retrieve my ticket?
Eventbrite will issue your tickets, and you will find your ticket code(s) in the body of the confirmation email. You do not need to print your tickets. If you wish to purchase a ticket, please head here.
Please arrive promptly at the Manor Mottistone. Your time-slot is for your bubble only. Latecomers will not be admitted.
We cannot accommodate tickets purchased on the door, so please make sure to book before your arrival. Tickets are open up to 24hrs before the scheduled time.

How does my bubble ticket work?
In line with current government guidelines, you can purchase a bubble of up to six attendees to see ‘Stories from the Sea at Mottistone Gardens’. You are free to use up as many spaces as you would like within your bubble. In line with the rule of six, we can only allow bubbles of 6 individuals, including adults, small children and infants. Please be advised we have ticketed as bubbles and will be following government guidelines closely. The cost of a bubble is £45, that's £7.50/ticket.
Do you offer refunds?
All tickets are non-refundable. By purchasing a ticket, you agree to ticket non-refundable terms and conditions.
We will follow government guidelines if these result in a cancellation or delay of the experience, we will help with rescheduling or refunds of tickets. Please contact email@example.com for more information. Be sure to include your ticket order number.
Someone in my bubble has additional needs. What are my options?
Please be aware that this is a moving experience. Audiences will be walking around the gardens for the duration of the showcase. If a member of your party has access needs, please let us know 48 hours before you are due to attend. We can advise on any adaptations that might be required.
No animals except service dogs are admitted. If you are planning on attending with a service dog, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org giving at least two working days notice. Our team will be able to assist you on your journey as well as help with any medical emergencies.
TIPS, TRICKS, AND HANDY INFORMATION
Can I use my cameras, phones or recording device?
We ask that guests refrain from taking photos of this showcase. We'd love you to keep the secrets of Stories from the Sea to yourself so we don't spoil the surprise for future guests.
We do allow photography at the end of the event, for personal use only. For any other use, please contact us in advance at email@example.com.
Will there be a cloakroom?
There will be space to leave coats and an area for pushchairs, in the check-in area on your arrival, please note that this is unattended so will be left at the owner’s risk. If possible we advise leaving bags in the car, don't let anything weigh you down!
What about the weather?
We are open come rain or shine. We will not cancel a performance before the advertised start time.
In the rare incident that we are forced to cancel due to extreme wet weather, we will let you know on the door. As you are aware, Island weather can be unpredictable and can clear at moments notice. Just other outdoor events, we wouldn't want to cancel should the weather clear at the last moment.
Will the bathrooms be open for use?
The National Trust toilets will be open on your arrival; they are located on the right of the main entrance, we advise going to the bathroom before the experience. Please adhere to social distancing rules when using the facilities.
Can I bring my pet?
We love creatures great and small, but for this experience, only service dogs will be allowed to enter the manor. If you are planning on attending with a service dog, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org giving at least two working days notice.
What should I wear?
You are going to enter a magical world. We encourage all guests to dress the part. Maritime attire is encouraged. It can get colder once the sun goes behind the hill, so make sure to have a jumper handy and check the weather forecast before you attend.

What precautions are you taking?
This show has been created and adapted in line with the government guidelines concerning the COVID-19 pandemic. Whilst this is an interactive show, we will be maintaining social distancing, and one of our team will explain the rules of engagement before you begin your journey.
If you or someone in your bubble feels unwell or if you have been in contact with anyone who has been ill in the 14 days before your allocated showtime, please do not come to Mottistone Gardens. Please contact our team on firstname.lastname@example.org.

Do I have to wear a mask?

Will I have my temperature checked?
Upon your arrival at Mottistone Gardens, we will be taking contact-free temperature checks. If you or any of your bubble’s temperature exceeds 37.5ªC, we will need to reschedule your tickets.
Will you be Tracking and Tracing?
We will keep ticket holders' contact details in line with GDPR guidelines for track and trace records.
What are your Covid-19 procedures for performers and crew?
All team members will take daily temperature checks. All performers and crew who are not island residents will have taken COVID test before bubbling together on the Island. Regular handwashing and good practice social distancing will be employed by all performers.
How will interactions with performers work?
This is an immersive show, but there can be no physical interactions between individuals and the performers or volunteers, sadly no high fives or pats on the shoulders. We will be maintaining social distancing, and one of our team will explain the rules of engagement before you begin your journey.
If you feel unwell or have any other difficulties while at the manor, please let a volunteer or performer know and we will assist you.
